Bored

So I am sitting on my bed waiting for my dad to finish his NCAA football game so I can watch sportscenter a couple times then finally go to sleep. So my blog tonight will be about the two things I've been thinking about all the time. College Football and the Olympics.

I don't know why but for some reason I love the olympics...maybe cause I love sports maybe cause I love obsure sports like ping pong and badminton maybe cause its our country working together at something or maybe all of them. But I can't get enough of it. There is some boring ones like long distance cycling, diving, field hockey, boxing(just because they are wearing helmets and they use a weird scoring system), and trampoline. Trampoline is a joke....they jump like 20 feet in the air and do a backflip with a spin and then land it....I can do that.

Then there is college football. Georgia kicks off in 1 week, 12 hours, and 30 minutes. They play Georgia Southern. I've pretty much have every SEC game memorized and what week and everything. Its an addiction. I should probably be more interested in other stuff that is important.....ohh whatever what I am kidding....I live in Alabama. College football is important....what else is there to talk about. But the games to watch this week are USC Vs. Virgina...no Mark Sanchez for USC....maybe an upset....that would be awesome. Bama vs. Clemson. Played in the Georgia Dome....i think this should be a very good game much like the Auburn - Clemson bowl game last year....maybe even overtime but Alabama wins. Missouri vs Illinois should be a good game but I probably won't watch it...maybe flip through to see the score or something. And hopefully UCLA will beat Tenn. on Sunday.

But it should be an exciting year....and the obnoxious Georgia flags go up on my car after the game on Saturday....yeah. Thats how cool I am. But this week I just hope that no one else gets suspended or hurt and I will be happy. Thats it. But I think my blogs are letting people down. But I have nothing to talk about so I will try and think of something to talk about for my next blog.

Beijing 2008

The olympics this year is only half way over but they have been amazing so far. This is the first olympics that I've really cared about. I never watched Athens or Torino. And I'm so impressed with our athletes being in the running in almost every sport. And look at Michael Phelps....he is going to be the best olympian ever after tonite. He is amazing.....he is my new favorite athlete. But then you look gymnastics....it was the first time one country has ever gone 1 and 2 in women's individual gymastics. And then men's team got bronze without the Hamm's. And women's got second even though they sucked it up on floor and balance beam. Swimming....we dominate everyone. And even the people from other countries that win usually train in America....like Cristy Coventry trained at Auburn. So I think it is just crazy. Our basketball team should win....we won a rifling event. Track and field so far we are doing well. I think it is amazing how well they are representing our country. But then I did some research and we have always dominated. We have double the amount of gold medals over 2nd leading country and we also have over 2200 medals ever which is more than double the second leading country. So America dominates.

But only 1 week and 5 days till College football starts and 2 weeks until Georgia kicks off the season with Georgia Southern. I can't wait. It's going to be a good year. We are number 1 in coaches and the AP poll. So if you read my last blog on if they would pick the best team for number one and not base them off the strength of schedule....well they did. But it is going to be a good year.

And recently I got into a little debate with a couple of my friends on why there shouldn't be a playoff. If there was a playoff....there would be a shorter regular season. Well thats really unfair for the SEC because....we would have to drop 2 -3 easy non-conference games. And the SEC is the toughest conference....so the Big 10 and Big East would have a big advantage because they play easy games in their conference too so if they would be dropping tougher opponents like Big 12, Pac 10, or the occasional SEC team. Then if there was a playoff...teams would not play as hard. For example Georgia plays LSU the game before Florida. the LSU game is not as important as the Florida game is. So we would not even train for the LSU game and throw the game away and practice 2 weeks for florida to make sure we beat them. Because if we are undefeated in the east than we go to the championship....just as long as our west record is not awful. And the bowl system makes College football unique. And its football....if its too long. It puts injury at risk....practicing everyday....playing top teams every weak....and then in a playoff. You would be playing 1 of the top 8 teams....4 weeks in a row. Thats just too hard....these people go to school also. Academics is more important that athletics. So hopefully there will be no switch anytime soon.

School!

Well, School starts tomarrow! I can't believe it. I have gotten so used to not going to school and now its like....what I have to wake up tomarrow at 6:30. BLEH! I'm excited to see my friends though cause I take a break from my school friends during the summer. But not looking forward to being at school tomarrow and getting back on a routine. My normal school day is wake up at 6:30, leave home at 7:30, start school at 8, leave school at 3, then go to the golf course till about 5 or 6, then come home and do what ever. my summer schedule was wake up at 11, then eat whenever, then do whatever I wanted to. So its a big difference. But only 2 more years. But this summer was a lot different than any other summer ever. I think it was cause I could drive but I was always busy and I never really had that much time to sit and think. Maybe thats all I need to do is sit and think. For one day just sit and think about everything....try and figure stuff out. This is the hardest and most important year....junior year. I have to figure out what college I want to go to and what I want to do and all that good stuff.

But this year I am taking a current issues class as an elective and I am really excited about it cause now I have something to talk about with Jake and Jason.

It's Darkest before the Dawn.....and the Dawn is coming.

Ok....So i havn't posted a serious blog in a while so I thought I would post one tonite. I will be skipping around alot so just get ready.

First off, I would like to say that Batman: The Dark Night was one of the best movies I have ever seen. It was awesome. If Batman doesn't win best movie and Heath Ledger not win best villain....I will be very dissapointed.

I just got done watching the X Games. I try to watch every year and I have watched most of them. But tonite was Skatebord Big Air and a guy named Danny Way did some trick and almost died. If you didnt see it....watch it on you tube or something cause it was gross(viewer discretion advised). And then he kept trying though afterwards and landed a couple tricks. It was awesome. But my first reaction watching it Live was that this guy was dead. But he wasnt and he actually kept going. It was crazy.

Once again Georgia is denied top spot by a football poll because of thier schedule. Rivals named Georgia the second best team in the nation because of the schedule. USC was number 1 but we had a better grade in every category but they were ahead of us. I dont want to sound greedy but you can't say a team is worse than another team because of their strength of schedule. I think it is stupid. They are not ranking the team on best chance to go to the BCS National Championship. They are ranking them by the BEST team. And I would not mind if they said USC was better but they straight up said that we were 2nd because of our schedule. Other polls that did the same thing was Athlon and ESPN. Hopfully the AP poll and USA today will know something about college football and rank them correctly.

On Saturday i took a day trip with a few of my friends.....Stowds, Jessica, Jake, Jeremy, and Jordan.....to 6 flags and then to ESPN zone. It was very fun cause their were no parents and i havn't been to 6 flags in forever. But we got lost so much that it was funny. We ended up eating at ESPN zone at 9:00 and didnt get back to Montgomery till 2:45. But I still had a blast.

Wednesday...I went back to Atlanta with all the kids from our church and it was fun i guess. We went to the new World of Coke and this was the first time I went to the new one. I went to the old one before. But it was really cool tasting all the different cokes from other countries. It was fun.

Today was Baseball's trade deadline. And the big trade was Boston trading Manny to Dodgers and Boston got Jason Bay from Pirates and the Pirates got some no names. But Manny wanted money since he has those 2 rings now....so I guess if he doesn't want to be there...why keep him. Also, the Braves traded Mark Texiera to the Angels for Casey Kotchman....both 1st basemans...I don't really understand this one. But the Braves needed to do something. But they need a pitcher not a 1st baseman. And most importantly, Ken Griffey Jr was traded from the Reds to the White Sox. Why would you trade him. He is not going to play much longer....just let him finish out his career there. I don't know who the Reds got for him but it doesn't matter. If he was healthy for those past 5 years....he would easily be the Home Run King and as far as I know he is legit. But he is one of the best....and you trade him. But the Red's also needed something to happen so that might be why.

I've had a lot of girl problems lately too. I went on a lot of dates with one girl and then she kinda ditched me. And then I went on a date with this other girl and she didn't say one word the whole time and it was the most awkward experience of my life. But I met this other girl who might like me....no one else does....haha. But like my title says its always dark before the dawn so maybe this girl might be the right one or she might not ever talk to me. We will have to see.

So this weekend....I will be visting Thompson, GA for a family reunion. UGH! How I hate family reunions. I have the most redneck, stupid, redneck, weirdest, and redneck family you could have. And I do not know how I ended up with this family. First I would like to say....I can't talk to them because I don't know what they are saying because no of them have any teeth. Just listen to this.....Ok so my dad has 2 sisters and a brother, Vivian, Teresa, and Danny. So Vivian is about 450 lbs. 6 foot 4....no joke. Teresa is normal except for his kids. And Danny's life is messed up. So Vivian actually has a normal son named Shane....he works on an Oil Drill in the Gulf off of New Orleans somewhere. So I never see him. Teresa has 2 sons and a daughter....Huey, Robert, and a girl....I dont remember what her name is. Huey has 3 kids from 3 different women and he is like 22. Robert has 1 kid and has had 2 different wives. And the girl has 4 kids and one being older than me and she is only 31. She had all those kids before she was 21. Danny has kids ranging from like 27 to 16. And the 16 year old girl just had a kid like 3 months ago. And my dad and my sister are the only ones in my family to go to college. My dad is easily the smartest and most civilized. Whenever my sister goes up there....they always ask her why she doesnt have a kid yet....and why is she still in school. And me being 16.....i hope they don't start asking me that. But I go up there and they all gang up on me cause im wearing Costa Del Mar sunglasses, polo shirt, caci shorts, and rainbows. But I dont own torn shirts and overalls so I dont fit in. Then they all go fishin' and I dont even own fishin' poles. So I sit and watch tv with my grandmother all day long. I dont fit in.....at all. The only thing they know about is Beer, Nascar, and Huntin'. Well, I watched the last race so I could talk to them about something. And maybe I can find someone to talk Georgia football with but most of them do not know that much about it. So it will be interesting.

Next week is youth week at church and we are going to the beach over the weekend and I am soo excited. Cause I love leaving Montgomery anytime I get. And its Panama City so its going to be crowded and sooo much fun. I can't wait.

Then the week after that....School Starts. Dang!!! I can't tell you how much I am ready to graduate. And I still have 2 years. Im ready to start my life. Thats why I want to get a girlfriend really badly is so that I always have someone I can go see after school that will actually want to see me. But Macon is so easy....I almost wish that we somethimes had homework cause my one friend still in high school goes to Lamp and he studies alot during the school year. Even though the girl I want to start talking to goes to LAMP....

Well, I decided that I also do not pray enough. I usually only pray when I have something to praise to God about. And since I really havn't had something to praise lately....it has been little prayer. But I need to start praying in bad times and in good. Im kinda like a fair wheather prayer....kinda like a fair wheather fan in sports. So im trying to put prayer a big part in my life and hope that God works miracles for me like he has with so many people I know. Their is so much that I found out that I take for granted. And I don't thank Him enough and when times are bad like now....I never pray because I just don't think about it. I have gone days without praying lately and its unhealthy. So I'm going to start.

Have I mentioned how ready I am for College football. I have a deep passion for it and people my age do not understand really. But it is fun be a part of something that is bigger than you and that you have no control over.

Well this has been nice....I didn't know writing a blog could relieve of so much stress and worry but this has been good. I will start blogging on a regular basis now. But I will be gone until Sunday night...but I will make sure to post on how my reunion went. Peace out! :)

Why Not

Sorry for the no post lately but I forgot my password. But nothing has been going on lately anyways so you havn't missed much.

Summer is half way over already!!! My summer has been awesome so far. Ive met some new people and I've become closer with a couple of people. And i can't beleive that it is almost over. I am definately not ready to go back to Macon. This last half I am just going to relax and hang out with my friends.

I recently got back from a Mission Trip in the Baltimore/D.C. area. And it was ok. The work the first couple of days was kind of dissapointing for me but the last day of work was great. We went to an Orioles game on Tuesday. I was not looking forward to it because I find baseball rather boring. But when I saw this park....I changed my mind completely. Camden Yards was the most beautiful park I have ever seen. It was awesome. And we got free shirts. And on this trip I came alot closer with the Strowds. I was with them the whole time on the bus. I found out that Strowd likes College Football as much as I do. We would play a game that would test our knoledge on it and we would go on until there we no teams left to call out and we were pretty much even. I also found out that he can grill like a mastermind. He made some hamburgers that were fantastic. He was really awesome.

And tomarrow Pulse has a concert. And I cannot wait for it to be over. I have had to practice every night for the past week and I'm just tired of practicing.

An issue that has come up recently in sports is that Brett Farve wants to once again come back to play Pro Football. He is old. He is 38. That is old for a quarterback. I am afraid if he plays he will turn into dust if he gets hit. He made such a big deal about him retiring and he was crying and now he doesn't care. And I love how he texted the Packers GM that he wanted to come back....haha.

Also Georgia lost the Baseball NCAA championships to.......Fresno State?? What the crap?? They are won their confrence and we won ours. They are in the WAC and we are in the SEC. WHAT!?!?!? How does that even happen? They not only beat us they made us look stupid in the last 2 games. We won the first game and were winning the second game 5 - 0. And then they put up 19!! runs and beat us 19 - 11. We had the best pitchers in the whole NCAA and we give up 19. WHAT!! I was very disappointed. But I am proud to say that most of the preseason football polls have us #1 and Knowshon winning the Hiesman. But everyone knows that we are going to be good but I can't wait to see how Auburn does this year. They seem to surprise me every year but I don't know about this year. New offensive coordinator, new defensive coordinator, new quarterback, totally new offense, and they are still in the SEC so every game is hard. And I think Alabama has the making for a great sleeper team. I think they will lose to Georgia twice (regular season and SEC Championship) and thats it. Thats right....they break the streak. LSU is WAY OVERRATED....their defense is the only thing that will keep them in it. Florida is going to go 9 - 4 again. :) Tennessee doesn't have David Cutliffe (sp.?) or Eric Ainge but they will be 3rd in the East. My rankings for East are Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, Vanderbilt (yes going to go out on a limb and say Vandy wins more SEC games then Kentucky), and lastly....Kentucky. Rankings for the WEAK west this year is Alabama, Auburn, LSU, and after that who cares. But thats how i predict it. Georgia winning the SEC and National Championship!!

But I will keep yall more updated now that I know my password. And leave comments.

Gentlemen Only Ladies Forbidden

Gentlemen Only Ladies Forbidden - GOLF.

In the early days in Scotland, a couple of Scott's thought of the game GOLF to be played by gentlemen. Golf stands for gentlemen only ladies forbidden which is often forgotten nowadays, even by me. In the early days of the PGA, there were role models such as Bobby Jones, Arnold Palmer, Sam Snead, Ben Hogan, Walter Hagen, Jack Nicklaus, and Byron Nelson. These individuals respected the game, their fans, and their competitors. In today's game, the only person that resembles these people is Phil Mickelson. I've been to a few PGA tournaments and Phil will stay after his round and sign each and every thing people give him to sign. He will stay for hours signing and carrying on conversations with his fans. But Tiger Woods on the other hand will maybe sign 3 things and he will not even say a word to his fans. (By the way, I do not like Tiger if u didn't catch on. But I am not that much of a Phil fan....i like Sergio Garcia and Geoff Ogilvy.) But what bothers me the most is how Tiger will act on the course. Tiger will hit a drive that might find the rough and he will say a curse word. This really bothers me because all the kids and teens that look up to him as a role model probably think, "well if he curses when he plays maybe I should to." And that is not how it is supposed to be. I respect the fact that Tiger is amazing at Golf but he has no respect for it at all. And the PGA fines him every time he curses, they fine him between $10,000 - $20,000. But he is the first billionaire in sports, so him paying ten thousand is like me buying a coke from the gas station. It is stupid. Tiger is selfish. He doesn't appreciate how blessed he is to have this natural ability and to be able to be the best in the world. This was just on my mind because Tiger is now in the lead of the Nations National Championship and he is like 11-0 when winning going into the final round. But the way he acts is just not good for the development of the game.

I'm watching SportsCenter right now...but I watch it every night. And something just happened that gets on my nerves every time I hear it. There is an announcer named Scott Van Pelt who says a quote, "fill thine horn with oil, and GOOOO!" whenever a Philly hits a home run. I have no idea what the relevance is, if any, and the way he says it just gets under my skin for no reason and makes me wanna go into the TV and tell him to stop saying that. So if anyone knows the relevance....please tell me so I will not be so annoyed and I might actually understand.

I DON'T REALLY KNOW

Well, this is my first post and I started it because my friends have it and I didn't want to be left out. I will tell you more about myself than what it says in my "About Me" because it only allows 500 characters and I at least need a thousand. First off, I'd like to say that I am a Christain...have been all my life. I attend DUMC and have been going there all my life. I've lived in Montgomery forever and I hate it....I would love to live further north cause I have a HORRIBLE sweating problem. And it is really hot down here. I've been attending Macon - East since 7th grade and I'm going into 11th. I really don't like it but I really don't want to go somewhere else so I kinda just deal with it. I make all A's every year so I actually am smart even though I might not show it sometimes. I play golf like 4 times a week because it is very fun. I am a 5.7 handicap which means I average about a 77 which is 5 over par. I love to meet new people but I hate to see people I know somewhere because it is very awkward unless its one of those kinda people who don't make it awkward (if that makes sense). I am addicted to Ebay very much so. I think it is the best thing on earth next to sliced bread. I watch The Office all the time. It might be the funniest show I have ever seen. My favorite movies are Elf and Dodgeball, I can quote every word from both of the movies. I am a HUGE Gerogia Bulldog fan. And in Montgomery there are a BUNCH of Aub's meaning Auburn fans. So I like to rub it in that in the past 2 years we beat them 37-15 in 2006 and 45-20 in 2007 and this year we should win by a hundred because we are NUMBER 1 IN THE NATION!!! I am a huge sports fanatic....I pretty much keep up with any sport from college lacrosse to European Soccer to horse racing (I am so mad that Big Brown did not win). My dream vacation would be to Boston because I love every pro team in Boston except for the Pat's. I try to be funny and not serious. I like to lighten the mood. Some people may think I am distractable but thats ok cause I figured that but when people laugh it just makes me feel good. Now you know the jist about me so I guess will talk about my life and what not.

Well, today I went Jason's Deli....it was pretty good but a little on the pricey side. We were there I think for 18 hours. We talked about our bowel movements and other random stuff that had nothing to do about anything but I enjoyed it. Then I came home and studied for the ACT which I have to take tomarrow and I still have only studied math. But my sister told me something at lunch today that kinda made me feel bad but mainly mad. She said that my mom thinks I will get a 16 on it. I'm pretty sure that you get a 16 for putting your name on it. So I guess my mom thinks I am retarded....I'm not sure but at least my sister thinks I will get a 24 which is decent. Then I ate at Mellow Mushroom with my family and I saw a freind that I havn't seen in forever. It was Jenna Cooper and I havn't seen her in like forever and such as.....haha. But she somehow got my number and started texting me so I don't know....but I don't mind. Cause I used to date her and she is very pretty. I have a couple golf tournaments next week....one being the city championship which is pretty important and I will be in the newspaper so look for me on Thursday - Sunday. I would love to talk more but I have to go to sleep cause I am taking the most important test I will ever have to take in my life. So I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did writing this. :)
